Someone that has an injury with severe bleeding or has collapsed from a cardiac event can die within 5-10 minutes. You can save a life by knowing how to perform CPR and proper bleeding control techniques.
The stop the bleed training includes instruction on how to use your hands, dressings, and tourniquets.
The chest compression training includes a short tutorial and hands-on instruction with a MedStar professional. Please note that attendees of this type of training will not receive official CPR certification. However, early and effective chest compressions can be performed by bystanders and are proven to substantially increase survival rates for cardiac arrest patients.
